A new mama and I designed this package to meet some of the basic fundamental needs of both mother and baby during the post partum period. Building up blood after birth is critical as there is often blood loss as well as energy loss and replacing lost minerals and vitamins as well as plant based easily assimilated iron can make a huge difference in recovery.
The blood tonic contains dandelion root, nettles which has plenty of iron as well as minerals to nourish blood, yellow dock root which helps our bodies retain iron, burdock - a lymph support as well as nourishing food, beetroot, parsley, cleavers and molasses.
The nipple salve is to protect new mums from sore cracked nipples if they are breastfeeding, it is soothing and simple, containing olive oil and calendula and chamomile. It can also be used on diaper rash and as a baby massage oil.
Breast milk tea contains herbs that are called galactagogues which help bring on the flow of breastmilk. It contains milky Oats to nourish our nerves and provide B vitamins, as well as blessed thistle, fenugreek and fennel, among other herbs to nourish our milk supply.
Mood/Anxiety/stress formula - who doesn't suffer from these things at the best of times, with a new born, potentially other children, lack of sleep and life itself. A beautiful tincture with herbal allies to help induce calm and relaxation - includes motherwort, chamomile, skullcap and passionflower as well as oats.
